If you have lost your pet, want to adopt one or just need some handy information this app can help you out.
It is almost like leading social media - Facebook, but here you will not see people's faces that are posted by users.
Dozens of fuzzy faces with short descriptions as 'Snowy - male dog' or 'Lola - female cat' will pop up in the timeline as you scroll down the adoption page.
"At Dubai Municipality we have a shelter where we keep animals that we found on the street," explained an official at the ongoing Gitex Technology Week, where the app was presented.
"If you want to adopt a pet you can scroll through this function and choose a pet that you like."
While some pets are for adoption, others may just have been found, as people who have found a cat or dog can upload a picture, mentioning when and where the pet was found.
If you are at the other end and have lost a pet, you can upload a picture of the loved one, accompanied of the microchip number.
"Dubai Municipality will then see if this pet is among any of the captured animals," explained the official.
"After a stray cat or dog is captured, we first check if it has a number. Then, we wait for 5 days. If the owner did not contact us to look for the pet, we offer it for adoption.
The app also allows for the make-up of a general pet profile where microchip number and vet appointments are mentioned.
Further, it will lead you to the nearest veterinary facility and it has an emergency button in case a vet is needed.
