Maid dumps dead newborn in garbage

Sharjah police arrested an Asian housemaid on charges of aborting her baby and dumping him in the garbage in Khorfakkan with the help of another maid.

Police said they also arrested the other maid and two men suspected to be involved in illegal affair with that maid.

The maid confessed that she aborted her baby at her employer’s house at dawn and concealed the body in the garden before dumping it in the garbage in the morning.

Police discovered the crime after doctors at hospital reported that the maid who was suffering from severe abdominal pains had undergone an illegal delivery operation.

During interrogation, she confessed to have aborted her baby and wrapped it in a piece of cloth with ice at night before throwing it in the waste bin in the morning.

Police charged the maid with murder, her friend with helping her commit a murder and the men with involvement in vice and adultery.
