Maid has baby without employer's knowledge

An Emirati man in Kalba got the shock of his life when he found out that his housemaid has a baby.

Only then, he recalled those nights when he saw a man sneaking into the maid’s room many times and he had to rebuke her every time.

After this discovery, the Emirati hurried to the police, who arrested the maid and her boyfriend on charges of indulging in an illicit relationship.

In court, the judge found the couple guilty of having an affair and an illegitimate baby. He sentenced the two to six months in prison, ordered them lashed 100 times each and deported after completing their prison terms.

The semi-official daily Al Ittihad, which carried the report, did not make clear where the maid was hiding her baby and how her employer made that discovery.
