Maid, Saudi employer missing for over 4 years

An Indonesian housemaid has been missing in Saudi Arabia for more than four years and a probe by her embassy to locate her has shown that her employer has also disappeared, a local newspaper reported on Sunday.

The maid had stopped all contacts with her family at home since she arrived to work for the Saudi family in the eastern province of Ihsaa nearly 52 months ago, the Arabic language daily Alyoum said.

“The maid’s family is still hopeful they will find her some day… the Indonesian embassy has just revived efforts to find her,” the paper said.

“Contacts with her employer produced nothing because he himself has been missing… the embassy is now in touch with the agent who recruited the maid for any information that will help in locating her.”
