A court in Abu Dhabi is trying a man accused of raping a 14-year-old boy after luring him into his house in the capital, a newspaper said on Monday.

The unnamed man denied the charges in court, saying he had forced by the police to confess to the crime. Medical tests proved the rape but the defence lawyer said the evidence was not sufficient.

“The boy repeated in court that he was raped by the man and that he could not resist because that man was huge and strong,” Al Bayan said, adding that the court adjourned sentence to November 29.
