Man dies after falling into a deep pit

An Emirati died after falling into a deep pit near a cement plant in Diba Fujairah, Alkhaleej newspaper reported on Monday.

The unnamed man, in his 50s, was found dead after plunging into the pit in Alghoub area where the town’s main cement factory is located.

Police are investigating the incident to determine if the incident involved criminal activity, the paper said.
