The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance awarded an Indian six months jail followed by deportation for threatening a woman to kill her if she testified against his robbery attempt.

The Prosecution accused MSH, 30, sales representative, of threatening verbally and in writing over her mobile, claiming he is a CID officer and is a dangerous man who will kill her if she testified before Sharjah Prosecution and the court. He told her to ignore the prosecution calls and not to testify before the court.

The victim, BMH, 28, Pakistani, director  testified that in March 2010, while she was at a parking lot in front of a restaurant in Sharjah she saw two men assaulting a woman and attempting to drag her out of her car.

“I stepped out of my car and walked towards them.. As they saw me they ran away… after ensuring the woman and her children were safe, I called her husband and waited till he arrived…Then I made my testimony before Sharjah Prosecution… On April 24, 2010, while leaving work, I received a call and the guy on the phone threatened to kill me if I testified before the prosecution and the court. He also sent me threat messages.”

Noora Humaid, 29, Emirati, housewife testified that BMH was the only witness when she was attacked by the two. After identifying the attackers and making her testimony before the prosecution, she called me and told me that she cannot make any more testimonies as she received life threats.

Police found out that the number used for threatening her belonged to MSH who was one of the two attackers of the housewife.
