Man gets life instead of cash from drug buyer

An Abu Dhabi criminal court sentenced an African man to life in prison after he was convicted of dealing in drugs, press reports said on Monday.

Posing as a customer, a police detective agreed to buy the hashish from the dealer, who was seized once he handed over the stuff.

The court also ordered the deportation of the defendant from the UAE after serving his jail term.
