Man on trial for alleged molestation of waitress

Dubai Criminal Court on Wednesday heard a case of an Emirati who allegedly molested a Filipina in October.

SI, 27, waitress, testified before the Prosecution that her friend, MT, dropped her at about 3am on October 19 at her building. "I saw two men at the enterance of the building. As I walked past them, one of them behaved indecently with me. I yelled and threw a magazine I was holding at his face and threatened to call the police.

To which he replied 'I care a damn'. My friend intervened and called the police." MT, 34, Canadian, told the Prosecution that he dropped SI at the building after spending time with her on Jumeirah beach. "I waited to see that she walked into her apartment safely before driving off. That's when I saw the accused molesting her. I rushed to prevent him and found that he was drunk. I pulled my friend into the car and called the police.

TSM, 24, has been accused of molesting SI and consuming alcohol.

The case has been adjourned until February 2.
