Man throws himself in front of car on Dubai street... and sleeps

A person who threw himself in front of a car and then slept in the middle of the road has been rescued by Dubai Police.

Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations, Dubai Police, told ‘Al Bayan’ newspaper that the incident happened in Al Sa’adah Street.

He added that after arresting the person, it was obvious that he is mentally ill and his family was contacted about admitting him to an institution to protect him, and road users.

He also called on community members to immediately report any negative behaviour on the roads.
