The Federal Supreme Court has ordered the execution of an Emirati suspect who was convicted of deliberately killing his wife in 2009.

The court will pass on the verdict to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE,  for approval, reported 'Gulf Today'.

RMA confessed to pouring a burning substance into her mouth and throwing her into a well.

The security department in Dibba, Fujairah, had received a call, reporting the absence of a woman in her 20s. Search operations led to the  discovery of the body in Roll Dedna.

The man appealed the verdict of the Criminal Court, which had sentenced him to death plus a fine of Dh1,000.

Then the Fujairah Appellate Court ordered a life sentence and a fine of Dh1,000.

But the Public Prosecution and the victim’s father appealed against the verdict, and the Federal Supreme Court issued the previous term.
