Manakeesh, pastry prices increase

A number of bakeries in Abu Dhabi have increased the prices of various products by 15 per cent, the Al Khaleej newspaper has reported.

The hike in prices included manakesh and pastries, and resulted in a counter price increase of between one and one-and–a-half dirham.

The report cites bakeries in the capital as justifying the hike due to a global increase in commodity prices.
