Metro resumes between Jafliya, Business Bay

The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the resumption of Dubai Metro service between the Jafiliya and Business Bay stations

Early on Saturday morning the Dubai Metro services between the Jafiliya and the Business Bay metro stations were interrupted for about three hours due to a fire in a building close to the Burj Khalifa, which has now been extinguished.

Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA Licensing Agency cum Head of RTA Crises Management Team, said the suspension of metro service in the two stations was necessary to ensure safety in accordance with the recommendation from the Directorate of Civil Defence.

He said the Metro service was resumed when the fire was brought under control.
