Mid-day work ban will continue till Sept 15

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority organised a workshop at its headquarters in Mohammed Bin Zayed City to raise awareness on mid-day work ban.

It stressed the need for business owners and managers to ensure safety of its workers during peak summer.

As per the guidelines, no work will be carried out between 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm, so that workers aren’t exposed to the scorching heat.

It is noted that mid-day work ban will continue till September 15.

The workshop comes in line with Law No 42 of 2009 issued by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

It is also outlined in the ‘Safety In Heat’ campaign, which was recently launched by Abu Dhabi Occupational Health & Safety Center (OSHAD), Health Authority of Abu Dhabi and UAE Ministry of Labor.
