An Italian allegedly molested a sleeping passenger aboard an Emirates flight from Jakarta to Dubai, the Dubai Court of First Instance heard on Sunday.
The 30-year-old Polish woman told the court that she had taken a sleeping pill and had drifted off shortly after take-off.
One of the cabin crew testified that he saw the 53-year-old Italian man "massage the woman's leg".
"He grabbed her leg and laid it upon his and massaged her feet as he touched himself inappropriately. In her sleep she moved and pulled her foot back but he grabbed her leg again and placed it beneath the blanket and took his shirt off and touched himself again," the crew told the court.
The cabin crew informed his colleagues and they changed the woman's seat.
Meanwhile, the man denied he molested the woman and told the court that he thought the woman was enjoying the massage. But he confessed to gesturing inappropriately at the flight attendants because he was "angry with them".
