Minor crimes court set up at Muraqqabat

In a bid to facilitate judicial procedures, a court assigned to hear minor penal cases, was established at Al Muraqqabat Police station.

Dubai Prosecution Attorney General Isam Al Humaidan, and the Dubai Courts Director General Ahmad bin Hazim on Wednesday inaugurated the court.

Al Humaidan said that the facility is aimed to meet the rapid development in the emirate and ensure faster judicial proceedings.

Bin Hazim said that the facility was the result of the partnership between, Dubai Police, Dubai Prosecution and Dubai Courts and was in light of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai who directed to work as one team under Dubai Government and support the judicial system in the emirate.

He said that the court will hear minor cases within the authority of Deira Prosecution and that are referred from Al Muraqqabat, Naif and Al Qusais Police stations. The court will hold its sessions four times a week.
