Mohamed condoles UAE martyr's family

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has offered his condolences on the death of Emirati serviceman Obaid Salem Saeed Al Bedwawi, who died while participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition 'Operation Restoring Hope' supporting the legitimate government in Yemen.

During his visit to the mourning tent in Masfoot, Ajman, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed his deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in peace and grant his family the patience and solace to bear their loss.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also expressed to the father of the deceased the UAE's pride in its sons, the martyrs, who gave their lives serving their country and supporting their brothers, which he said reflects the level of sacrifice and devotion they had towards their people and nation.

The deceased's father and brothers also expressed their pride in the sacrifices of the martyrs of the nation, stressing their loyal support and eagerness to do all that it takes to bring this pride back home.

New members of Abu Dhabi Executive Council sworn in

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, who is also the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has stressed that acting upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has entered a new phase of development based on creative and innovative visions to become an active figure in the world.

Sheikh Mohamed made the remarks during the swearing in ceremony of the new members of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council before him at the Presidential Palace in the presence of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

He said, "The overall development in the UAE is an ongoing, sophisticated and innovative process, carried out by Emiratis with their thoughts and devotion to ensure that the UAE is always able to accommodate regional and global changes and deal with them with confidence based on the solid ground of achievements and successes accomplished so far, and which represent a starting point for action and planning for the future."

Sheikh Mohamed stressed the great responsibility of members in the implementation of developmental and ambitious visions for the present and the future, particularly the 2030 economic vision for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which aims to build a knowledge-based economy to raise the standard and quality of the life of citizens in the areas of education, health, housing and other areas of sustainable economy in line with the development philosophy of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, that makes Emirati citizen the target of development as well as its initiator.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi urged the members to redouble their work and efforts in the next stage, and to build on the previous achievements to serve the community and achieve the welfare of citizens and their happiness, that being the most important goal and strategy.  

He expressed confidence in the ability of the council to continue the march of progress and achievements and face any existing or future challenges that can obstruct the national development process, arming itself with determination, dedication and values of teamwork planted by the late father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, thanks to all his achievements.

Sheikh Mohamed wished success to the members of the council in the service of the country and its citizens, and move forward towards progress. He thanked the council's former members for their considerable efforts during their term, citing their outstanding contributions to the comprehensive development programmes and projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.Among others present were Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council, a number of Sheikhs, ministers, members of the council,  the heads of departments and senior officials in Abu Dhabi.

The council members who took the oath include Riyad Abdul Rahman Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Finance, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Head of Energy Authority, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director General of ADEC, and Awaida Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transportation.

Mohamed bin Zayed visits Adia

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today paid a visit to the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia).

During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed met with members of the ADIA's Board of Directors, heads and senior officials.

Sheikh Mohamed was received by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia), Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member and a number of officials of the Adia.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi was briefed on the most important projects and investment programmes carried out by the Adia as well as the future plans and strategies to be implemented in the coming period, which aim to enhance the UAE's position on the economic map and in the matter of global investment.
