Mohammed bin Zayed visits Yas circuit

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces paid an inspection visit to the Yas Marina circuit which is hosting the 2011 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

During his tour to the motorsports venue including pit stop and maintenance facilities and venues of co-located events, Sheikh Mohammed met with Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, representatives of participating teams, organisers of events, the circuit officials and fans.

Also, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula One chief executive and the Formula One commercial rights holder on the efforts and preparations for the forthcoming big event.

Ecclestone commended the improvements being made to the Yas Marina Circuit in order to maintain the rich experience and the outstanding level and performance which attracted huge fanfare.
