His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has instructed Dubai International Airport authorities to introduce prompt and effective measures to process transactions of inbound and outbound passengers without delay.

Sheikh Mohammed gave his instructions during a tour of Dubai Airport on Thursday to inspect the progress of work, services provided to passengers and other facilities.

Flanked by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Mohammed stopped at Terminal 1, Concourse 1 and 2, and Emirates' Terminal 3, where he inspected travel formalities and talked with a group of passengers.

Sheikh Mohammed said procedures at check-in and check-out counters, baggage delivery carousels and passenger inspection points were ‘very good’ but not enough and instructed that smoother and quicker services be introduced.

He affirmed that land, sea and air ports were receiving his personal attention and follow up. He instructed officials and staff at the airport to treat and welcome visitors with a smile, respect and hospitality.
