Mother, two daughters die in Sharjah fire

A woman and two of her daughters died in Sharjah after fire broke out in their house.

The woman and her two daughters – Comoros nationals – were sharing the villa with a family.

Sharjah Police said Operations Room received a call at 11.33pm about a blaze engulfing a villa in Algaphih area of Sharjah.

Lieutenant Sami Naqbi, Director-General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said the first civil defence vehicles arrived at the site within three minutes where it found all the house engulfed in a blaze – resulting in death of a mother and her two daughters.

Investigations revealed that the three died due to inhalation of smoke. Reason for the fire is still unknown.
