A major accident happened on Sheikh Zayed Road near Oasis Centre towards Abu Dhabi.
According to a Dubai Police tweet, the accident involved several vehicles.
“A multi-vehicle accident on Sheikh Zayed Road opposite Oasis Centre towards Abu Dhabi. Please drive safely and carefully,” Dubai Police tweeted at 7pm.
An eyewitness told Emirates 24l7 that all lanes on SZR were closed immediately after the accident because a school – a kept horizontally in the middle of the road – was being towed away by a big towing truck.
Dubai Police also tweeted about an accident on Emirates Road before Mleiha Road exit towards Sharjah.
Police also tweeted about an accident earlier on Sheikh Zayed Road before 9th bridge exit towards Abu Dhabi.
It advised motorists to drive carefully and safely.
