A multi-vehicle crash was reported on Shiekh Mohammed bin Zayed Road at 9.15am on Monday morning, with motorists being warned of a traffic gridlock on the busy highway.
Dubai Police tweeted on its official account at 9.15am: “A multi-vehicle traffic accident on SMBZ Road after Al Muhaisnah Bridge toward Jebel Ali; please be extra cautious.”
Tailbacks caused by the crash have stretched to Sharjah Industrial Area 11.
Pockets of traffic were also reported on the cross section of Amman Street for those looking to find alternatives to E311.
An accident that was reported at 6am on Sheikh Rashid Road opposite Lamcy Plaza, in the direction of Dubai World Trade Centre is finally clearing, according to eyewitnesses.
However, at 9.45am, traffic was being reported on the cross street, Oud Metha Road, with slow moving vehicles.
There were also pockets of traffic reported on Hessa Street, in the direction of Sheikh Zayed Road, along with the Financial Centre Road, from Al Khail, towards E11 at the same time.
