Murder victim's kin seeks Dh800,000 to drop case
The family of the maid, who was allegedly raped and murdered by three suspects, has demanded Dh800,000 to drop the case, reported 'Gulf Today'.
The Fujairah Criminal Court has adjourned the case to July 7.
Three men are charged with raping two maids and murdering one of them when she tried to resist them in a house in Merbeh area.
The Emirati owner of the house where the alleged incident took place reported that "two unidentified people had broken into house at night and entered the room of the maids and raped them, killing one of the maids".
The suspects have been identified as the owner's son and his two friends, who claimed "that the owner's son had made an agreement with the maids to bring his friends so that they could have fun together", reported the paper.
They confessed to strangling the second maid, 48, when she resisted them.
