The Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, has announced that it plans to commence construction works for the Shakhbout Girls School project by early next month.

The move is part of Musanada’s efforts to realise the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to deliver projects that create an environment which will motivate students to explore their full potential and capabilities.

Musanada said that the Dh129 million project, marking the conclusion of Phase VI of the future school construction initiative in the emirate, aims to keep up with the development of the educational sector and the improvements introduced to curricula and teaching approaches.

Construction work on the school, situated on a 50,192 square meter plot, are expected to be completed by May 2018.

The facility consists of a 3-storey building with a total built up area of 22,716 square meters. It will accommodate 2,100 C2 and C3 female students and will have 70 classrooms, laboratories, sports hall, library, multi-purpose hall, swimming pool, cafeteria, and administrative offices, as well as external playgrounds, car parking and landscaped areas.
