Mute girl, autistic boy 'found' @ GV

Al Ameen Service’s media office has urged parents to keep a close eye on their children while visiting Global Village, after 658 kids were lost temporarily at the fair in Dubai.

The figure reflects the total number of incidents since the opening of the fair this season in November.

In a statement, Al Ameen said they have been working together with Dubai Police and Global Village to ensure security of visitors and their children.

The office spoke of two unique incidents -- one of which was when a nine-year old mute girl was brought to Al Ameen’s service room after she had got separated from her family.

"Although the girl was mute and did not have a wristband or any identification cards, Al Ameen’s officers on site managed to reunite the girl with her mother who was really thankful."

"The other incident involved an eleven-year old autistic boy, who was reunited with his family members in record time, thanks to Dubai Police and Global Village officials who cooperated with us," the statement said.

“Never leave your children unattended. Always make sure your children wear wristbands with clear mobile numbers all the time. Respect safety rules and regulations in all areas, and especially in the fun fair zone," Al Ameen Media office advised.

“We, in coordination with Dubai Police، have been allocated a big room at the Global Village where lost kids are hosted until we find their parents. In this room, we have staff who take care of these kids and also a play area for to make them feel safe and break the tension and fear of strangers.”

Al Ameen Media Office stressed that it is important for parents try to avoid crowded areas or if they wanted to go, then they need to be extra careful.
