National Day holidays: Metro, Tram, hospital timings; free Dubai parking

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced timings of various services covering customer service centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit modes, driving schools, and vehicle testing and registration centres during holidays to mark the 44th National Day and Commemoration Day.

Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, RTA, announced the following timings for various entities:

Customer Service Centres

Service Centres will be closed starting Tuesday, December 1 and will resume duty on Sunday, December 6.

Paid parking

Paid parking zones all over Dubai, except for Fish Market parking lot and multi-level parking terminals, will be free of charge from December 1, and fees will be reactivated on Saturday, December 5, she added.

Dubai Metro

On December 1 and 2, Green Line stations will start service at 5.50 am up to 12am (midnight), and on December 3, service will continue up to 1am (the following day). On Friday, December 4, service will run from 10am up to 1am (the following day). On December 5 and 6, stations will open from 5.50am to 12am (midnight).

On December 1 and 2, Red Line stations will start service at 5.30am up to 12am (midnight), and on December 3, service will continue up to 1am (the following day). On Friday, December 4, the service will run from 10am up to 1am (of the following day). On December 5 and 6, stations will open from 5.30am to 12am (midnight).

Dubai Tram

From the December 1-3, Dubai Tram will start service at 6.30 am up to 1am (the following day). On Friday, December 4, service will run from 9am up to 1am (the following day). On December 5 and 6, from 6.30 am up to 1am (of the following day).

Public buses

From December 1-3, main stations of public buses, such as the Gold Souk, will start bus service from 4.25 am up to 1am (the following day). Al Ghubaiba Station will offer service from 5am up to 12.10 am (past midnight). Subsidiary Stations, such as Satwa, will start service from 5am up to 11.15 pm, except for C01 Route which offers 24/7 service. Al Qusais Station will open at 4.40 am up to 10.50 pm, Al Quoz Industrial Station will open from 5am up to 11.35 pm, and Jebel Ali Station will open from 5.45 am to 9.45 pm.

The Metro Feeder bus service at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall, Burj Khalifa, Etisalat and Abu Hail Stations, will open at 5.15 am up to 1.10 am (the following day). The timing of feeder bus service will be synchronized with the timing of the metro services.

The Inter-city Bus service at main stations such as Al Ghubaiba will be operating around the clock to offer services to Sharjah (Jubail Station), and from 5am up to 11.40 pm to Abu Dhabi. Subsidiary Stations, such as Sabkha, will offer intercity-bus service from 6am am up to 1.30 (the following day), whereas Deira City Center Station will operate from 5.30 am to 11.35 pm, and Karama Station will open from 6.10 am up to 10.20 pm.

External Stations, such as Ajman Route, will start at 4.30 am and continue up to 11.30 pm. Fujairah Route will start service at 6am up to 10.05 pm, and Hatta Route will be on service from 6am am to 10.05 pm.

The Water Bus at Marina Station will operate from 12pm up to 12am (midnight). The Water Taxi will offer service at Al Ghubaiba Station from 10am to 6pm, Marina Mall Station from 2pm up to 10pm, The Palm Jumeirah – Atlantis from 9am up to 8pm, and The Palm Jumeirah – Rixos from 11am to 7pm. The Dubai Ferry will make three trips from Al Ghubaiba Station to Marina Mall at 11am, 1pm and 6.30 pm. There will be a one-hour trip at 3pm within the Dubai Creek, and another one at 5pm pm to the Jumeirah Beach Park. At the Marina Station, the Ferry will offer three trips Al Ghubaiba-bound trips at 11am, 1pm and in addition to a trip at 6pm. A one-hour trip will also be operated heading to Burj Al Arab at 3pm, and Atlantis Hotel at 5pm.

Abras

Electrical abras will operate at the Global Village from 4pm up to 1am (the following day), Burj Khalifa from 6pm to 11pm, Mamzar Station from 5pm up to 1am (the following day), and Atlantis from 1pm to 9pm. Diesel-powered abras will offer service at Baniyas, Sabkha, Old Souk, and Al Ghubaiba) from 10am to 12am (midnight).

Vehicle testing and registration centres

Vehicle testing and registration centres will be closed from December 1 to 3 and resume duty on Saturday, December 5.

Working hours of DHA hospitals, primary health and medical fitness centres

Dubai Health Authority announced today (Monday) the working hours for DHA administration, hospitals, primary health centres and medical fitness centres during the 44th UAE National Day and Martyr’s Day public holidays.

Timing of DHA hospitals

Hospitals will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual.

The emergency departments of all DHA hospitals (Rashid, Dubai, Latifa and Hatta) will be functional round-the-clock on all days.

Outpatient clinics at Dubai Hospital and Rashid Hospital will be closed during the holidays. Outpatient clinics at Latifa Hospital will be closed except for the pediatric walk-in clinic which will function as usual.
Hatta hospital’s outpatient department will be open from 7.30am to 9.30pm. All other specialist outpatient clinics will be closed.

Timings of primary healthcare centres (PHCs)

Nad Al Hamar and Al Barsha health centres will function 24 hours on all days.  The Al Lusaily primary healthcare centre will be open from 8am to 3pm during the holidays. All other primary healthcare centres will reopen on Saturday December 5.

Medical fitness centres

Al Muhaisnah medical fitness centre will be open on December 1 from 8am to 1pm. All other DHA medical fitness centres will remain closed during the holidays and will resume work on Saturday December 5.

Etisalat working hours

Etisalat has announced its business hours during the upcoming 44th UAE National Day holidays.

On December 1 and 3, select Business Centre (BC) stores and outlets will be operational between 9am to 2pm, however, they will remain closed on  December 2, 2015.
-    Etihad Plaza, ICAD, Al Salam BC, Mafraq Store, Abu Dhabi Main BC, Samha ADNOC Outlet, Etihad Plaza Outlet, Shahama Store, Al Falah Store
-    Deira BC, Al Wasel store, Al Fahidi store, Al Kifaf store
-    Ajman BC, IND BC, Umm Al Quwain BC, AL Manakh BC, Al Dhaid
-    Ras Al Khaimah BC, Fujairah BC
-    Al Ain BC, Madinat Zayed store, Al Ruwais store

Etisalat’s Al Ruwais store will be open on  December3  Thursday between 9am-2pm.

Etisalat’s dedicated outlets in malls across the UAE will be operational as per mall working hours. All other business and service centres and stores will remain closed during the holiday period. Starting  December 5, 2015, all retail stores will resume business as per normal working hours.
