Towering clouds will increase in some parts of the UAE, especially over eastern and northern areas, while other regions will remain partly cloudy.

The national weather bureau forecast, however, predicts a slight increase in temperatures with the maximum temperatures hitting 32 degree centigrade.

However, the cloud cover is likely to increase humidity to 90 per cent in coastal areas.

Weather is expected to be hazy until tomorrow, with moderate to rough seas.

Meanwhile, social networking sites were flooded with news about thunderstorm and heavy rains lashing parts of the UAE on Saturday, forcing the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) to release a statement to clam residents.

NCMS denied rumours on such sites that a thunderstorm with intense rainfall deteriorated visibility in Alsala and that it will pass in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, the rest of the United Arab Emirates to Oman during the next six hours.

It had forecast the weather to be pleasant by night.
