NCMS forecasts fog, warns of poor visibility

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has urged motorists to be cautious due to low horizontal visibility caused by fog in various areas of the country.

In a statement on Monday, NMCS said that the weather will be hot in general, partly cloudy and hazy at times. Clouds will increase over some areas, especially over the eastern and northern areas. Winds will be light to moderate in general, freshening at times over some exposed areas by morning, with a chance of blowing dust at times.

"Seas will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman," the statement added.

On Tuesday, the weather will be partly cloudy in general and hazy at times. The cloud amount will increase at times, especially to the north and over eastern mountains, with a chance of some light rain. Light to moderate winds may freshen at times, with the chance of blowing dust over exposed areas. Seas will be moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in general in the Sea of Oman.

On Wednesday, the weather will again be partly cloudy in general and hazy at times. Temperatures tend to fall gradually over some areas. Light to moderate winds may freshen at times, with a chance of blowing dust over exposed areas. Seas will be moderate.
