NCMS warns of poor visibility due to fog

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has urged motorists to exercise caution, reduce their speed and leave enough distance between vehicles because of fog, especially in coastal and inland areas across the UAE.

In a statement on Sunday, the NMCS said visibility on some coastal and inland areas may extend no more than 500 metres.

It added that waters in the west end of the Arabian Gulf will be turbulent, while the Sea of Oman will remain moderate.

The northwesterly wind speed will ease on Tuesday, then become active again on Wednesday, the statement noted.
