New finance public prosecution in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), has issued a resolution establishing the a comprehensive public finance prosecution office in Abu Dhabi .

The new legal entity falls under the Abu Dhabi Attorney General, who was assigned by Sheikh Mansour to define its structure and powers.
In his capacity, Yousef Al Ebri, Abu Dhabi Attorney-General, has issued a resolution outlining the new entity's terms of reference which include investigation into financial crimes against public fund like embezzlement, seizure of public funds and other crimes the most notable of them are financial fraud, money laundering and crimes against public fund using information technology, as well as crimes in connection with banks, cheques and commercial fraud.

Al Ebri stated that the move was in implementation of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision for having an effective justice system that protects rights and delivers them to their original owners.
