New vehicle testing, registration centres open in Dubai, Abu Dhabi

New vehicle testing and registration centres have been opened in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the public.

Tasjeel, the UAE’s one stop shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, has joined hands with the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) to open a new ‘Renewal Vehicle Test Centre’ at its Al Tawar site.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of Enoc Retail, and Ahmed Bahrozian, Managing Director of RTA’s Licensing Agency, inaugurated the new centre that facilitates the testing of light vehicles, and enhances the convenience of motorists in the neighbourhood.

The new service adds to the existing portfolio of vehicle testing and registration services offered at the Al Tawar site. The renewal test enables light vehicle owners to undertake thorough testing of the car for any renewal purpose.

Ranked first in an evaluation of vehicle inspection facilities in Dubai by RTA, the Tasjeel sites, now with a brand new identity, offer superior and trusted services that are important in promoting all-round motor safety. Ahmed Bahrozian added: “Renewal vehicle testing is a key service requirement, and with Tasjeel offering the service at its Al Tawar site motorists can easily complete all the required formalities. At RTA, we are committed to the highest standards in motor vehicle testing and insist that our partners meet all our criteria. Tasjeel has the resources and technology to offer testing services that meet our guidelines.”

Motorists can access the renewal testing service from Saturday to Thursday from 7am to 9pm. Until January 20, 2014, customers also stand to win attractive prizes through the ‘Drive In and Drive Out with Gold’ campaign. Tasjeel customers, who choose from an array of vehicle testing and other services will receive a raffle coupon to take part in the campaign. Every week, two lucky winners will get 30 gms of gold each, while one winner will be rewarded every month with 100 gms of gold. The grand prize is 500 gms of gold, with the winner to be announced at the end of the campaign.

A business unit of Enoc Retail, Tasjeel undertakes all mandatory tests that are required for vehicle registration. The business has nine branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Khorfakhan and Hatta, and all sites are equipped with the latest testing and inspection machinery. All the sites are run by professionally qualified staff members.

Adnoc opens 3 new technical vehicle inspection centres

Adnoc Distribution has announced the opening of three new technical vehicle inspection centres in the cities of Liwa, Ghayathi and Delma Island in Abu Dhabi’s Western Region.

The centres are located within the Adnoc Distribution service stations in these areas and aim to provide comprehensive facilities and services to the public. In addition to hosting an Adnoc Oasis retail stop, the centres will provide access to LPG cylinders, car wash and oil change services.

The technical vehicle inspection centers will operate from 7:00am - 3:00pm throughout the week. Each centre has the capacity to service up to 50 vehicles per day. Additionally, the centres will provide inspection services prior to the registration of vehicles.

Khalid Hadi, Vice President - Marketing and Corporate Communications Division at Adnoc Distribution, said: “Technical vehicle inspection services, as with everything else today, need to be prompt, efficient and hassle-free. Adnoc Distribution is working relentlessly to step-up our service stations to ensure that our customer service experience is well aligned with people’s dynamic lifestyles.

“The new facilities will reduce the pressure on the current inspection centres within Abu Dhabi, particularly in the Western Region through ensuring easy access to our services closer to their residences.”

The centers will complement those already functioning in the Western Region at Zayed city and Al Ruwais city, in addition to the center in Al Marfa’ city. The new additions take the total number of Adnoc Distribution’s Technical Vehicle Inspection Centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region to 26. As part of its expansion plans, the company plans to open new centers in Al Sila city, as well as in developing areas such as Mahawi and the Motor World project in Abu Dhabi, and Al Markhanyah and Mazyad in Al Ain city.
