No black art game in market: official

Abu Dhabi authorities have denied the presence of any new game or device that teaches black art being sold in the local market, saying it was a mere rumor circulated by Blackberry users, press reports said on Monday.

Inspectors from the Abu Dhabi municipality were deployed through shopping outlets in the capital this week to check such rumors but found no such devices, the Arabic language daily Albayan said.

“We will continue to inspect shops to ensure there are no such games or devices,” said Khalifa Al Rumaithi, public health director at the municipality.

“The municipality deals with what is circulated on blackberry handsets as rumors but it does not ignore such rumors…..we have dealt seriously with this rumor and sent our inspectors to most children game shops to check.”

Rumaithi said the fact that inspectors could not find such a game does not mean it is not in the market, adding that inspectors would continue their search and urging the public to report any suspected games or devices.
