Sahara Centre in Sharjah will soon get an exclusive car park only for taxis.

Sharjah Transport Corporation (STC) said the facility will be operational in two weeks.
 
Abdul Aziz Al Jarwan, Assistant Director-General, Operation, STC, said, considering public demand, Bus No 8 will henceforth pass behind Sahara Centre every half an hour.
 
After the introduction of extra Dh20 charge for taxis crossing either emirate, the mall area has been crowded with a line-up of taxis from Sharjah and Dubai.
 
Al JArwan said the development is part of STC’s strategy of public transport by constructing infrastructures.
 
Meanwhile, local dailies quoted Saeed Abdullah, Director, Corporate Communication, STC, as saying that more such car parks will be opened.
