No parking in sandy areas in Abu Dhabi

Residents in Abu Dhabi are prohibited from parking vehicles in sandy areas. The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi issued the rule in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 18 of Mawaqif, reported 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.

The rule will be stringently applied to protect sidewalks and enhance traffic related accidents. Many a times, when vehicles are pulled out of or enter a sandy patch it results in bumping into other vehicles.
