The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) has confirmed there are no Salik gates coming up in the capital, ‘Al Khaleej’ reports.
The statement comes after pictures on social media showing gates similar to Dubai's Salik gates, in Abu Dhabi.
The department confirmed the gates are not for Salik.
The photos claim to show gates at Al Shahama near Al Raha Mall.
The department asserted it has based its policy on transparency and, therefore, any major project will be announced with all details before implementation.
