Abu Dhabi Appeals Court heard the case of an Asian nurse who is accused of negligence and exposing a newborn to danger.

According to an 'Al Khaleej' report, the nurse tripped over an electrical wire and fell down while she had the infant in her arms. However, the baby girl who was admitted at the hospital was safe and suffered no injuries.

A forensic report confirmed the child suffered no injuries from the fall.

The baby's mother filed a police complaint that her little girl's life was put at risk because of the nurse's negligence. She had the baby discharged the same day.

The Court of First Instance fined the nurse Dh3,000.

The Appelas Court will announce its verdict on March 20.
