An aircraft with 168 passengers on board hit an aerobridge at India’s Chennai airport, reported local media.

A portion of the GoAir plane, which flew in from Mumbai early Friday morning at 6.22am, was damaged.

A NDTV report quoting sources, said aerobridge operator was allegedly on the phone when the aircraft was attempting to align itself.

Passengers got off from the rear end of the A320 plane using a step ladder.

The plane has been grounded.
