Police divers found the bodies of two Bangladeshi boys who drowned off Sharjah during turbulent sea conditions two days ago.

A joint police force from Sharjah and Ajman found the bodies off Ajman’s coast on Saturday after they drifted away due to strong sea currents. One was found early morning while the other was plucked out in the evening.

Sharjah police sources, quoted by the semi official daily Alittihad, said the two, who drowned off Hira, are relatives aged 17 and 18 years.

Car slams into wall

A 24-year-old Emirati driver was killed when his car rammed into a wall surrounding a house in Ras Al Khaimah.

Police said the unnamed man died on the spot after he lost control on his vehicle and bumped into the massive wall in Seeh. They gave no other details but said they were investigating the causes of the crash.

In another accident, an Asian man was killed when he was hit by a car in Masafi, according to police.

Two men drown off Sharjah

Two Bangladeshi men drowned off Sharjah in high seas after one of them slid down the cliffs and the other followed trying to save him.

The two were strolling with three friends in Hira area near Coral Beach Hotel when one of them climbed the cliffs to look at the sea.

He slipped and fell into the water, prompting his friend to try to lift him back. Both then fell down and drowned.

Police divers from Sharjah and Ajman were still searching for their bodies, which could have drifted away because of strong currents, according to the semi official daily 'Al Ittihad'.
