RAK accident mortality rate falls 19.6%

Traffic-related deaths in Ras Al Khaimah has declined this year, according to latest statistics by police.

Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem, Director-General, Central Operations, Ras Al Khaimah Police, said, in the first nine months this year only 45 traffic-related deaths were reported as against 56 during the same period last year – a decline of 19.6 per cent.

This is the result of awareness campaigns taken up frequently to educate society.

Brigadier Ghanem urged motorists to abide by traffic rules and maintain speed limit.
