RAK Police deny plane crash rumours

No plane was downed in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate's Police affirmed on Tuesday, denying reports circulating on social media platforms.
 
Major General Ali Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the video clip broadcast on social media was about a fire that broke out last night in a worker accommodation complex. The fire incident was reported by media organs.
 
He said he was shocked at the publication of these irresponsible rumours by some members of the community which caused confusion among people. He warned against unleashing such rumours that serve the interest of no body.

''The police have already launched an investigation to identify the source of these rumours,'' he added.
