Ras Al Khaimah to waive off fines on illegals who will leave UAE during amnesty

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah will waive off all fines imposed on illegal residents who volunteer to leave the country during the two-month amnesty period beginning next month.

Brigadier Sultan Yusuf Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director-General, Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah, violators will be exempted from paying all fines imposed on them, if they avail of the amnesty from December 4, 2012 until February 3, 2013 as announced by the Ministry of Interior.
 
The department has set up offices - ‘Al Jazeera Al Hamra’ - and has appointed staff who will work in two shifts to facilitate quick registration of residents who would want to clear their documentations to leave the country.
 
Brigadiar Al Nuaimi said the department will work together with GHQ, Ras Al Khaimah, and the Ministry of Labour to facilitate the process efficiently.
 
He called on all residents to respect the laws and regulations of the country and co-operate with officials and report of any illegals to enhance safety and security in the nation.
