The Dubai Misdemeanour Court adjourned the case of two Liberian visitors accused of swindling a Canadian of Dh197,000 while claiming to possess 100kg of gold powder.
DJ, 31, and AB, 30, confessed before the prosecution of cheating SW, 47.
During investigation the accused revealed that they came to the UAE to exact revenge on SW who, they claimed, cheated several people in Liberia before he came to the UAE.
The accused said after they tracked SW down, they arranged a meeting with him and sought monetary help to clear 100kg of gold powder from a cargo company in Dubai.
On Monday, only AB attended the hearing, so the court adjourned the case to ensure both the accused attend the next session.
