The country's affluent car buyers won’t mind shelling out for a perfect set of wheels and would appreciate if they have their preferred style done it the way they want.

The numbers speak for themselves, and the market for expensive cars is only growing big in the country and the region.

Latest figures from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East show that the region registered another record year in 2013 with a 17 per cent year-on-year growth, making it the best performing region for the carmaker worldwide in terms of growth for the second consecutive year.

What’s more noticeable is the demand for exclusivity by the customers in the region as bespoke uptake in the Middle East peaked at 100 per cent of cars delivered.

Sales of Phantom Series II, Rolls-Royce’s pinnacle family of models, which was updated in 2012, scored a 45 per cent growth in sales in comparison to 2012. Sales for Ghost remained strong throughout the year and the launch of Wraith, and the consequent start of deliveries, contributed to this year’s performance.

“2013 has been an exceptional year”, said Geoff Briscoe, Regional Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East, Africa and Latin America. “I am thrilled that Rolls-Royce Middle East has again performed so well and delivered another standout year.”

According to the carmaker’s website, the rich and famous who have owned a prestigious car from their fleet include Michael Fux, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Christina Aguilera and David Beckham to name a few.
