Road mayhem: 1 dead, 5 hurt in two accidents

One person died and five suffered injuries in two separate accidents in Dubai last week.

A Pakistani was killed when his car was hit by an Arab driver who jumped the traffic signal, reported 'Gulf Today'.

In another traffic mishap, six cars collided on Emirates Road leading to Sharjah. While four sustained major injuries, the fifth person was moderately hurt.

An Emirati, AAA, sustained severe injuries on Sunday when his car crashed over a road barrier and flipped over while taking a sudden turn on the road towards Masafi on Sheikh Maktoum Road, opposite to Al Bathnah, said police sources. He was transferred to Al Fujairah Hospital.
