Schengen visa exemption for UAE soon

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, has revealed that exemption for UAE nationals from the Schengen visa will happen very soon.

He stressed this would be a new addition to achievements by the UAE.

On his Twitter page, Sheikh Abdullah tweeted, “A new achievement of the UAE diplomacy... Exempting the Emiratis from Schengen soon”.

Sheikh Abdullah also tweeted to thank UAE Ambassador to the EU Sulaiman Al Mazroui for his efforts in achieving the desired result.

Several tweets since have applauded the achievement. Informed sources quoted by the media suggested that the exemption will be officially announced before the end of the coming week.
