The 16th National Career Exhibition, which is set to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from February 19th to 21st, aims to empower national graduates by opening up career opportunities in the country’s flourishing financial sector, Government and private sectors as well.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the upcoming show assumes significance as more high-profile sponsors.

The highlights of the exhibition were announced at a press conference held at Expo Centre Sharjah on Sunday. It was addressed by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Tareq Bin Khadem, Chairman, Directorate of Human Resources, Government of Sharjah and Jamal Al Jasmi, General Manager of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, co-organizer of the exhibition.

The fair will help employers in the financial sector to increase their Emiratisation levels, which are set to increase tenfold over the next seven years, as mandated by the UAE National Agenda which was launched recently," Midfa said.

Some of the leading lenders in the country such as Sharjah Islamic Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank are the Gold Sponsors, reflecting the importance they attach to the show.  Du Telecom joined the show as strategic sponsor.

"Banks form the majority of around 100 exhibitors who have confirmed their participation in the show. Aiming to recruit, train and retain Emiratis as part of their Emiratisation programmes, almost all prominent local, regional and international banks will be offering hundreds of job and training opportunities to talented Emirati graduates," Midfa concluded.
