Sharjah Police put beach-goers on summer swim alert

Sharjah Police have called on the public to take caution when at beach or going into the sea during the summer.

Major Ibrahim Mir, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Sharjah Police, called on visitors to comply with the instructions on signboards located along the beaches, as well as to follow weather bulletins.
 
He warned parents against leaving their children in the sea unattended and called on swimmers to stay within the areas specified for swimming.
 
“Rescue teams and the Sharjah Police are ready for emergency situations, that are not only search and rescue, but other humanitarian tasks needed as well,” he said.
 
In case of any accident or emergency call 901 or 999, he added.
