Sharjah restaurant fire brought under control

A fire broke out in a restaurant in Sharjah’s Abu Shagara area on Wednesday night. The flames had spread and gutted three apartments.

Civil Defence officials were quick on the scene, and managed to control the fire.

Residents from the six-storeyed building were evacuated to safety.

There are no reports of casualties so far.

According to the local media, four people were treated for suffocation on the site.

Investigation is on to determine the cause of the fire.
