A massive fire in a high-rise in Sharjah's Al Khan area was brought under control without much damage.
The blaze that broke out at around 8.30am on Saturday on the 30-storey Al Hudah Tower gutted the back portion of the building from the 3rd to the 30th floor, reported Gulf Today.
Brigadier Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director, Sharjah Civil Defence, fire personnel immediately rushed to the site and evacuated tenants before controlling the blaze.
It took almost an hour to bring the fire under control, he added.
There has been no fatalties of injuries reported.
The official said the cause of the blaze is still unknown. It could have erupted fron one of the lower floors and spread to the top levels.
Forensic experts are investigating the cause.
