Smuggler seized with drugs hidden in laptop

Customs authorities at Abu Dhabi airport seized an Asian man who tried to smuggle nearly 1.5 kg of drugs inside his laptop, a newspaper said on Sunday.

The unidentified man had arrived from a “neighbouring” country and his baggage was subject to searching by customs men at the airport, Emarat Alyoum said.

The narcotics were struffed inside a shaving tool kit concealed “expertly” inside the laptop, the paper added, quoting police officials.
